Run All Night ***

IMDB Synopsis: Mobster and hit man Jimmy Conlon has one night to figure out where his loyalties lie: with his estranged son, Mike, whose life is in danger, or his longtime best friend, mob boss Shawn Maguire, who wants Mike to pay for the death of his own son.

Liam Neeson is back again in an action role. At this point his movies are starting to run together for me. “Run All Night” is a definite improvement over “Taken 3” though I must say. It gives Neeson a real gritty character to sink his teeth in to. The story and directing by Juame Collet-Serra are really good here as well. Collet-Serra directed Neeson in “Unknown” as well as “Non-Stop” so the two are getting fairly used to each other by now.

I do want to see Neeson get back to some more dramatic or even comedic roles at this point. He has given us some amazing performances in the past and I hope to see more again.
