IMDB Synopsis: his wife with procuring magical items from classic fairy tales to reverse the curse put on their family tree.
“Into The Woods” is a neat concept done in such a generic manner that it just didn’t hold my interest at all. It is a very handsome production from the set designs to the costumes and visual effects. I just found the acting and direction to be lacking any kind of energy or excitement. I also found that the musical aspects just dragged the narrative along at a snails pace.
I don’t know why but I am just not a fan of director Rob Marshall. I find his style to be some what boring an uninspiring. Films like “Chicago” and “Nine” didn’t stimulate my senses at all and his entry to the “Pirates” franchise was about the same.
