“Hotel Transylvania” is decent entertainment for young kids but it is not a lot of fun for older audiences or parents. It is pretty bare bones when it comes to any kind of compelling story, character development or general humor. The animation might be good if the editor could slow down enough for us to drink it in.
Adam Sandler voices the legendary Dracula, who has built a hotel for monsters who just want a weekend or two where they don’t need to hide in closets or run from villagers. It is a neat sounding setup but it is too bad the creators didn’t do more with it other than use it for fart jokes.
Like I said, younger children might find it entertaining. I know my son sure did. But I found it kind of bland and harmless.
