I expected “Trollhunter” to be maybe a little more scary or have better atmosphere. I am finding the whole camcorder type of movie becoming tiresome, especially if it really adds nothing to an uninspired retread.
The story follows a documentary crew as they shadow a Trollhunter. Apparently they are quite the problem in Norway. They come in all shapes and sizes, which Hans, the Trollhunter, knows individually how to take them out. One hint is to not be Christian, as they can smell your blood.
I guess I was thinking this movie would do something new with the format. Instead it is more of the same. Lots of creeping through the woods at night, noises in the dark and loud footsteps in the distance. When we do see the Trolls the CGI used to create them is fairly budget.
