Limitless **1/2

I really wanted to like “Limitless”.  It has a really good performance from Bradley Cooper, that shows that is going to be a great leading man.  It is also directed by Neil Burger, whose “The Illusionist” I greatly admired.

Cooper plays Eddie, a writer who is leading a life of pure laziness it would seem.  But things change when he is introduced to a drug that bestows him with super human abilities.  But instead of exploring where these abilities will take him, the movie simply descends in to a pretty generic thriller.

“Limitless” is well acted and directed but it needs a better story for it’s subject matter.
