If there is anybody who knows how to kill zombies in the most grotesque ways, it is George A. Romero. This is his latest entry in his living dead series. This time he takes a few notes from “The Blair Witch Project” and “Cloverfield” and shoots the whole thing via camcorders, from the point of view of the main characters. The story involves a group of film school students who are making a really low budget horror movie, when zombies break out and begin running wild.
The world pretty much descends in to chaos, as usual, and the students find themselves on the run in their camper of all vehicles. This is all recycled from other zombie movies, mainly Romero’s own films. But what sets this apart is the fresh way of shooting the movie as well as the very inventive gore. Everything else is pretty standard. After this I think I have pretty much had my fix of zombie movies, I mean how many times can you tell the same story?
