Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice” comes from a time when Mr. Burton was really let aloud to let his warped vision and bizarre characters occupy the cinema. Edward Scissorhands, Pee-Wee Herman, and Beetlejuice were the type of characters that he brought from the depths of his mind to mainstream audiences.
Adam and Barbara are a normal couple, who happen to be dead. They have given their precious time to decorate the house and make it their own, but unfortunately a family are moving in, and not quietly. Adam and Barbara try to scare them out, but ends up becoming the main attraction to the money making family. They call upon Beetlejuice to help, but Beetlejuice has more in more in mind than the just helping.
Beetlejuice is played by Michael Keaton with manic zeal. Keaton is suited to this type of character. A guy who can run his mouth with a slew of black humour and crude language. He is the main attraction in what is pretty much a 90 minute geek show.
